2009 Enchanting England Tours

There are many tour offerings to England. If you are interested, please let Jeanne know your area of interest in England, and she can provide you with additional details. Below is a sample of one of the great tours being offered.

2009 The Lake District & the Yorkshire Dales

Monday thru Friday, Aug 4-8 (5 day tour)

$725.00 per person double occupancy

On past tours, we have only spent part of a day in the Lake District. And everyone always wishes they had more time to browse the quaint shops in the winding streets of the picturesque villages, and stroll through the peaceful settings. Now is your chance.

This tour features a glorious area of Great Britain, offering its own special charm, and Guthrie connections in little corners. The beauty of the England's Lake District with rolling hills, soaring mountains and magnificent lakes, has long been a source of inspiration to poets and artists. There you will delight in a cruise on peaceful Lake Windemere, as well as enjoy William Wordsworth's hometown of Grasmere, and Beatrix Potter's Hawkshead. A real thrill will be the journey through mountain passes before boarding a miniature railway to view this lush and idyllic countryside. At every turn you will be filled with awe of this enchanting and beautiful area.

TOUR DISCOUNT

A $20.00 per person discount off the tour price is offered to all Clan Guthrie USA current members. Tours are open to the public as well, and everyone is welcome on these tours. But by becoming a member of Clan Guthrie USA for the annual membership fee of $20.00, you are eligible for the $20.00 tour discount per person. That's essentially getting your membership for free!! Visit our membership page and send in your tour reservation form. So bring your friends and family and join us this fall. We are sure you will learn much about Guthrie heritage and cultural background while having fun in this group setting.

All tour prices are land-only per person based on double occupancy, and includes hotel, breakfast and dinner daily, sightseeing and more. Cancellation Insurance is additional, but highly recommended.
